1.7.8 Trailed machines

Pay attention to the permissible combinations
of hitching device on the tractor and pulling
device on the machine!
Join only permissible vehicle combinations
(tractor and trailed machine).
¾
In case of single-axle machines pay attention
to the maximum permissible drawbar load of
the tractor on the hitching device!
¾
Always ensure sufficient steering and braking
capacity of the tractor!
Machines mounted or hitched to a tractor
affect the travel behaviour as well as the
steering and braking ability of the tractor,
especially single-axle machines with drawbar
load applied to the tractor!
¾
For drawbars with drawbar load, the height
of the drawbar must only be adjusted in a
specialist workshop!
1.7.9 Brake system
¾
Adjustment and repair work on the brake
system must only be carried out in expert
workshops or established brake service
workshops.
¾
Immediately stop the tractor in case of brake
system malfunctions.
Have the malfunction remedied immediately.
¾
The brake system must be thoroughly
checked at regular intervals.
¾
Securely park the machine before starting
work in the brake system. Secure the machine
against unintended lowering and rolling away
(wheel chocks)!
¾
Be extra careful when performing welding,
flame cutting or drilling work near brake lines!
¾
After setup and repair work on the brake sys-
tem you must generally carry out a brake test!
¾
Pay attention to the corresponding regulations
(France) when changing the hydraulic oil!
¾
Only use the specified hydraulic oils (France)
when topping up or changing the hydraulic oil.
