Cleaning the crop protection sprayer
Regular cleaning of the trailed sprayer is
a prerequisite for proper maintenance and
eases operation of the trailed sprayer.
Lifetime and reliability of the crop protection
sprayer essentially depend on the time the
material of the crop protection sprayer are
exposed to the crop protection product.
¾
Keep the exposure time to the chemical as
short as possible, e.g. by daily cleaning after
the end of spraying.
¾
Do not leave the chemical for an unneces-
sary period of time in the solution tank, e.g.
not over night.
¾
Generally clean the crop protection sprayer be-
fore changing to another crop protection agent.
¾
Dilute the residual amount in the solution
tank and subsequently spray out the diluted
residual quantity (see also chapter 8.6.2).
¾
Before the actual cleaning you should pre-
liminarily clean the crop protection sprayer
in the field.
¾
Dispose of any cleaning residues environ-
mentally friendly each time you clean the crop
protection sprayer.
¾
Disassemble the spraying nozzles at least
once per season.
Check the disassembled spraying nozzles
for dirt, if necessary clean the nozzles with
a soft brush.
Flush the spraying lines without the nozzles.
9.1.1 CCS (Continuous Cleaning
System)
The complete cleaning process is controlled
from the driver's cabin.
Function: Principle of positive displacement
instead of principle of dilution.
The additional piston diaphragm pump feeds
clear water through the internal cleaning noz-
zles directly into the solution tank. The spraying
pump draws this water in and uses it to force the
chemical residue through the nozzles out of the
pipeline system
The initially forced out residual quan-
tity is undiluted (up to 40 l). Spray the
residual quantity on an untreated
surface!
Start of internal cleaning
¾
Automatically if the pressure in the spraying
line drops below 0.7 bar; activate automatic
mode via the terminal:
¾
Manually via the terminal after the solution
tank has been emptied.
¾
Spraying lines and nozzles can be blown out
with compressed air before cleaning (Open
Air-Function).
The duration of the "Continuous Clean-
ing" process depends on how heavy the
crop protection sprayer is contaminated
with the crop protection product used.
Operate the CCS-function until only
fresh water runs out of the nozzles.
Follow the instructions of the crop protec-
tion product manufacturer.
