5. Commissioning
This chapter informs you about
¾
the commissioning of the machine.
¾
how to check, whether you are allowed to
attach/connect the machine to your tractor.
NOTE
Before commissioning the machine, the opera-
tor must have read and understood the operat-
ing instructions.
Pay attention to the chapter “Safety” when:
¾
hitching and uncoupling the machine
¾
transporting the machine
¾
working with the machine
NOTE
¾
Use only a suitable tractor for coupling and
transporting the machine.
¾
Tractor and machine must comply with the
instructions of the national road traffic regu -
lations.
¾
Vehicle owner (operator) as well as driver
(operating person) are solely responsible for
complying with the statutory regulations of the
national road traffic regulations.
WARNING
Danger caused by crushing, shearing, cut-
ting, winding up, being pulled in and caught
in the area of hydraulically or electrically
actuated components.
Do not block any actuators on the tractor, which
serve the purpose of directly executing hydraulic
or electric movements of components, such as
e.g. folding, slewing and pushing processes.
The corresponding movement must automati-
cally stop when the operator releases the cor-
responding actuator. This does not apply for
equipment which
¾
are continuous or
¾
automatically controlled or
¾
require a floating or pressure position because
of their function
5.1 Check suitability of the
tractor
WARNING
Risk of accident from breakage during operation,
insufficient stability and inadequate steering and
braking ability of the tractor if used for purposes
other than those intended!
Check the suitability of the tractor before you
attach or connect the machine to the tractor.
You may only attach or hitch the machine to a
suitable tractor.
Perform a brake test to check whether the tractor
reaches the required braking delay also with a
connected machine.
Prerequisites for the suitability of
the tractor are in particular:
¾
the permissible total weight
¾
the permissible axle loads
¾
the permissible drawbar load at the hitching
point of the tractor
¾
the load bearing capacity of the assembled
tyres
¾
the permissible trailer load.
You find these data on the type plate or in the
vehicle registration papers and in the operating
instructions for the tractor.
