7.2.2 Transport position

WARNING

Danger of traffic accidents

Before driving off:

Clean all picked up soil from the entire machine.

Check function of lighting system.

Lock the control units mechanically or electrically, depending on the version,
during transport travel. Never switch them to the floating position.

Check all interlocks before starting to drive.

Check whether all securing elements of the connection are in place as set cor-
rectly.

Check components of the connection for wear.

NOTE

Make sure before driving on public roads that the machine meets all respect-
ive applicable national road traffic regulations.

Make the following additional adjustments before road travel:

Lift the machine out at the rear by the packer cylinders.

For road transport fill up the piston rods of both packer cylinders with the
same amount of aluminium clips and lower the machine on these clips. These
clips serve as transport lock.

Clips for transport lock on the packer cylinders

In case of swinging drawbar hitching add clips also to the drawbar cylinder
and lower the machine on these clips. Then close the lock valve.

Lock the control units for transport on public roads.
