8.3 Clean the machine
Ø
Clean the machine thoroughly at regular intervals and after the end of the sea-
son.
Ø
Wear the necessary protective outfit when performing any work to protect
your health and safety.
NOTE
Ø
Do not clean electrical components, hydraulic cylinders and bearings with a
high pressure cleaner or direct water jet.
Housings, screw fittings and bearings are not waterproof under high pressure.
Ø Clean every day when in use.
8.4 Machine storage
The following steps must be followed if the machine is to be shut down for a longer
period of time:
1. Park the machine in a hall or under a roof if possible.
2. Loosen the parking brake, if so equipped, to prevent the brake pads from
sticking.
3. Protect the machine against corrosion. Use only biodegradable oils for anti-
rust spraying.
4. Protect the hydraulic cylinder piston rods against corrosion.
5. Relieve the wheels from any load.
