Adjusting the Sheet Feeder

Setting the Suction Head

1

Set the position of the sheet tail hold-down bars.

For Thick Sheets

For Thin Sheets

For Thin
Sheets

Adjust the positions of the
bars to match the sheet
width and weight.
For thin sheets, move
them closer to the center.
For thick sheets, move
them out.

Set the height of the vacuum piston.

•

Normally you should adjust the vacuum
piston using the vacuum piston height
adjusting knob so that the distance
between the top sheet and the vacuum
piston is about 1 mm / 0.04”.

Note

If the vacuum piston feeds two sheets at the
same time because the sheets are porous, raise
the vacuum piston. If the vacuum piston fails to
feed a sheet because the sheet is heavy, lower
the vacuum piston.

Set the separator.

If double feeding occurs frequently
