Maintenance

Pausing the analyzer
When sample is stopped be sure to turn off the power because the cathode electrode will be
plated by silver. If the cathode is plated by silver, the measurement data will be reduced.
Operation
1.
Turn OFF the converter.
2.
Close the valve for the source of water under measurement.
Restarting the analyzer from the pause mode
Operation
1.
The inside of the measurement cell may be contaminated by long time suspension.
Check the dirts of the measurement cell and clean or replace the electrode, beads,
and other main parts if necessary. Also check the sealing of the sensor and replace
O-ring if necessary.
Refer to “ Maintenance of sensor ” (page 48).
2.
Replace the cleaning beads.
Refer to “ Replacing the cleaning beads ” (page 51).
3.
Slowly open the valve for the source of water under measurement.
Note
Open the sampling valve with care. Sudden opening will disperse beads to the any part out of the
circulation path in the measurement cell.
For the RA-10 (Sampling flow rate 1.3 L/min to 2.0 L/min)
Sampled water should be overflowing from the head tank. If the water surface in tank is under the
over flow level, flow rate will not be stable and measured data will be unstable.
For the RA-20 (Sampling flow rate 0.8 L/min constant)
The pressure of the sensor inlet should not exceed the rating (less than 0.5 MPa).
4.
Use the flow rate control valve to regulate the flow rate at a proper level.
and “ Checking the flow rate of the sample ” (page 48).
5.
Turn ON the converter.
6.
Wait until the reading becomes stable, it takes 3 hours minimum.
7.
Perform calibration.
