3.3.4. Chambers draining

This service function will allow the operator to check for proper chamber draining and to maintain
some of the parts of the hydraulic manifold as it flushes waste out of the instrument.

).

" tab is displayed.

Chambers draining
" radio button.

Press "
Start cycle
" button (

Verify the proper draining of the waste through the waste tubing located on the back of the
instrument. If it is not flushing waste sufficiently, check the waste tubing connection and verify that
there is no blockage or crimping of the tubing. Verify that both the WBC and RBC chambers are
draining properly, not slow but fairly rapid. If not, view the troubleshooting (See
).
3.3.5. Concentrated cleaning

This service function allows the operator to perform a very strong cleaning of the WBC and RBC
counting chambers and apertures.
◆
This service function is used when frequent parameter and/or morphology flags are present on
normal patient results.

Prepair the following solutions: ABX Minoclair or bleach containing 12% active chlorine.

In "

" menu, press "
Customer services

The "

" tab is displayed.

Press "
Concentrated cleaning
" radio button.

Press "
Start cycle
" button (
) and follow the steps that appear on screen.

When the message "
Open the front cover and validate to continue.

Put 3ml of MINOCLAIR in WBC tank and validate to continue.
" is displayed:

Dispense the bleach solution you choose into the WBC chamber (or into the hole on the top of
the cover so that it goes into the chamber).

Put 3ml of MINOCLAIR in RBC tank and validate to continue.
" is displayed:

Dispense the bleach solution you choose into the RBC chamber (or into the hole on the top of the
cover so that it goes into the chamber).

Close the front cover and validate to continue.
" is displayed:

Close the main cover door of the instrument.

" button.

The cleaning cycle will begin and a cleaning time will be displayed.

This concentrated cleaning cycle involves different cycles, backflush, aspiration, rinsing, which
allow a good cleaning of the chambers and apertures.
10-
After this procedure is complete, perform a startup cycle to verify that the reference blank
parameters are within their limits.

" button to open "
Status area
".

Press "
Startup
" button.
Once the startup cycle has passed, sample analysis may begin.
