Installing SmartPAC 2 and WPC

Look for “PRESS CONTROL” on the menu. This indicates that SmartPAC 2 is
communicating with WPC.

If “PRESS CONTROL” appears on this menu and if you have a ProCamPAC and/or
DiProPAC option, go to page 100. If you do not have either of these options, go to
“Create and Load a Test Tool,” page 103.

If “PRESS CONTROL” does not appear on this menu, go to “Problems at Startup,”
the next section.

Problems at Startup

Your SmartPAC 2 display remains off

••••

If the green Power light on SmartPAC 2 does not illuminate

Turn off power to SmartPAC 2 and WPC. Recheck all power connections. Check
that the connectors are correctly seated on both ends of the cables between the
SmartPAC 2 PC board and the display Power up SmartPAC 2 again. If the display
remains off, contact Wintriss Tech Support.

If the green Power light illuminates, but the display remains off

Power down SmartPAC 2 and WPC. Check that the connectors are correctly seated
on both ends of the cables between the SmartPAC 2 PC board and the display. Power
up SmartPAC 2 and WPC again. If the display remains off contact Wintriss Tech
Support.

“PRESS CONTROL” does not appear on the Initialization menu

Leave the power on, open the door of the WPC and observe the LEDs on the PC board

•

If any of the LEDs are illuminated, the WPC has power. Go to step 2.

•

If none of the LEDs are illuminated, power down the units and recheck the AC wiring
to the WPC. Power up both units. Call Wintriss Tech Support if the LEDs remain
off. If any of the LEDs in the WPC illuminate, go to the SmartPAC 2 Main
Initialization menu.

•

If “PRESS CONTROL” appears on the menu, go to the next section and
continue to set up your system.

•

If “PRESS CONTROL” still does not appear there, go to step 2.
