Once the start-up signal (

) has been applied, the au-

tomatic burner control unit checks the burner for flame
simulation during the waiting time t

. If no flame simu-

lation is detected during that period, the safety time

on start-up t

(3, 5 or 10 s) then starts to elapse. This

forms the minimum operating time of the automatic
burner control unit and the burner. Voltage is supplied
to the gas valve and ignition transformer. After the safe-

has elapsed and the flame signal

has been received, the operation signalling contact be-
tween terminals 13 and 14 closes. The display indicates
the current program status
