Live Monitoring Examples

Display Setup

There are three monitor outputs on the HRDV16/8:

Two composite monitor outputs and one S-Video output (see

). You can

use all these output options at the same time and program the sequencing dwell
times for them. That is, the camera views display in sequence for the dwell times you
set. They work the same way, except that the S-Video has a sharper image and text
output.

The monitor outputs are described as follows:

Monitor

Description

Mon 1

Connect the primary CCTV monitor to the digitally processed, Mon 1 (main monitor) output. This output
is a composite analog output with full or multiscreen views, display configuration menus, and a variety
of text overlays during operation.

Mon 2

Connect an optional CCTV monitor to the Mon 2 (spot monitor) output. This output always provides full
screen sequential switching views of some or all cameras. This display is completely independent of
the Monitor 1 display.

Note

This output does NOT display configuration menus.

S-Video

Connect the primary monitor to the digitally processed, S-Video output. This output is an S-Video output
with full or multiscreen views, and displays the user interface during Menu mode, and a variety of text
overlays during operation. It has the same output as Monitor 1, but in S-Video format.
