Replacing an IOTA
To replace an IOTA on Din rail:
1. On the defective IOTA, loosen screws at each side of the module
that secures the NAM to the IOTA.
2. Carefully remove the NAM or IOM from the IOTA.
3. Remove the end brackets which prevent IOTAs sliding movements
at both sides of the IOTA.
4. Loosen the DIN rail hook that secures the defective IOTA to the
DIN rail.
5. Pull out the terminal strips from the IOTA.
6. Loosen the screws which lock the IOTA from the screw holes and
pull out the connectors from the right IOTA.
7. Remove the IOTA from DIN rail.
8. Mount new IOTA on the DIN rail at the same position as the old
IOTA.
9. Mount the screws at the screw holes of the new IOTA and its left
one to fix it to adjacent IOTAs.
10. Insert the terminal strips onto the IOTA.
11. Completely insert the DIN rail hook to attach the IOTA to the DIN
rail.
12. Insert the NAM or IOM onto IOTA making sure that the NAM or
IOM matches properly with the IOTA connector.
13. Secure the NAM or IOM to the IOTA with two screws located at
each side of the plastic cover.
14. Set the rotary switches to match the IOTA being removed.
To replace an IOTA on CCA:
1. On the defective IOTA, loosen screws at each side of the module
that secures the controller module to the IOTA board.
2. Carefully remove the controller module from the IOTA board and
connector.
3. On the defective IOTA, loosen rotary button at each side of the
NAM that secures the NAM to the IOTA board.
4. Carefully remove the NAM from the IOTA board and connector.
5. Label and disconnect all cables from the IOTA board connectors,
(yellow and green FTE cables, gray and violet IOLink cables, and
Battery cable).
