Check the clearance of the joint pin and adjusting
nut, by pushing the parking brake lever.
Make sure the cut-out of the adjusting nut is seated
on the joint pin.
Unlock the parking brake lever by pulling it.
Make sure that the rear wheel rotates smoothly.
Pull the parking brake lever slowly and count the
number of notch until the parking brake lever is
locked.
If it is out of standard, readjust the parking brake.
HEADLIGHT AIM
Remove the following:
– Console box (page 3-24)
– Right inner box (page 3-26)
– Headlight maintenance lid (page 22-7)
Support the scooter on its center stand.
Adjust the headlight beam vertically by turning the
adjuster A.
Adjust the headlight beam horizontally by turning
the adjuster B.
Install the removed parts in the reverse order of
removal.
CLUTCH SHOES WEAR
Remove the clutch assembly (page 11-27).
Check the clutch shoe lining for wear or damage.
Measure the thickness of each shoe.
Replace the clutch shoe linings if it is below a ser-
vice limit.
Install the clutch assembly (page 11-36).
STANDARD: 5 – 8 notch
