7. THROTTLE CABLE
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Cut the three cable ties securing the throttle cable to
the handle pipe.
2. Remove the throttle clamp screw and remove the cable
from the engine.
3. Remove the 6 mm locking nut, 6 x 65 mm flange bolt,
and 6 mm plain washer; then remove the throttle
control assembly.
4. Installation is the reverse of removal.
5. After installation, adjust the engine speed by adjusting
the throttle cable ( P. 3-14 ).
8. THROTTLE LEVER ASSEMBLY
DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 4 mm self-tapping screw and separate the
left and right throttle cases.
2. Remove the collar and the spring.
3. Remove the throttle cable from the throttle lever.
INSTALLATION
1. Insert the throttle cable barrel into the throttle lever.
2. Insert the cable fitting into the left throttle case slot.
3. Insert the collar and the spring over the throttle lever.
4. Install the right throttle case to the left throttle case and
secure with the 4 mm self-tapping screw.
5. Install the throttle cable assembly on the handle pipe
using the 6 x 65 mm flange bolt, 6 mm plain washer,
and 6 mm locking nut.
6. Tighten the 6 mm locking nut to the specified torque.
TORQUE : 4.9 N•m (43 in•lb)
Adjust the throttle cable ( P. 3-14 ).
