AIR CLEANER

Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 58.

The air cleaner element should be serviced
at regular intervals (page 60). If your
motorcycle is operated in dusty areas, more
frequent servicing will be required. Your
dealer can help you to determine the
correct service interval for your particular
riding conditions.

1. Remove the bolts (1), air cleaner

housing cover (2) and air cleaner
element (3).

2. Wash the air cleaner element in clean,

nonflammable or high flash point solvent
and let it dry thoroughly.

Never use petrol or low flash point solvents
for cleaning the air cleaner element. A fire
or explosion could result.
