Use 1.5V AA batteries or equivalent. Batteries not included.
1. Place the cement block into the wooden pot. Insert the bottom tree trunk into the cement block.
Insert the tree top into the bottom tree section. Connect the light string plugs as shown in the
diagram, making sure the connectors are inserted in the correct orientation and polarity.
2. Shape the branches by working from the bottom of the tree upwards. Gently pull down the
branches. Straighten the branches and fan out the tips.
3. After shaping the tree, step back and take an overall look. Shift branches to fill any gaps. Slightly
upsweep all branch tips for a uniform look.
4. Open the lid of the battery box by releasing the locks. Insert 4 AA batteries* into the compartment,
making sure that the batteries are in the correct orientation. Close the lid with the tabs.
5. Press the button on the battery box once for timer mode, twice to turn the lights constantly on, and a
third time to turn the lights off or reset the timer. The built-in timer mode causes the lights to turn off
and on in a cycle: on for 6 hours then off for 18. The user should initially turn on the lights at a
specific time of their choice, and then the lights will turn on every day at approximately the same
time.
6. Replace batteries when the lights become dim. Remove batteries from unit when it is not in use.
