Maintenance and service plan
After each use:
Move saw arm to uppermost position and fix.
Relax the saw band.
Clean the machine completely.
Lubricate the sliding surfaces of the vice and saw band guide with light machine oil.
After 50 operating hours:
Lubricate all moving connecting parts with a thin layer of lubricating oil or grease (if
necessary, clean chips and dust with a brush beforehand).
14.2
Adjusting the guide bearing
The band saw blade is guided by ball bearings of the band guide (8). The ball bearings are
factory-set. If the belt does not run smoothly or if you get dirty cuts, this may be due to the
guide bearings.
The belt run can be adjusted by loosening the ball bearing fastening screws. Check regularly that
the fastening screws are tight. The bearings should be replaced at least once a year.

Changing the band saw blade
C A U T I O N
Risk of injury due to sharp-edged saw teeth. The sharp-edged teeth of the band saw
blade can cause skin injuries. Always wear work gloves when adjusting or replacing
the band saw blade.
Move the saw arm to the vertical position.
Loosen the six screws holding the housing cover.
Put the screws aside and remove the housing cover.
Loosen the setting knob for the saw band tensioner (9).
Remove the old band saw band from the impellers.
→
Note the direction of the teeth of the leaf!
Insert a new band saw blade first into the band saw
guides and then fit it onto the wheels.
→
Pay attention to the correct running direction of the
teeth!
Adjust the saw band with the setting knob for the saw
band tensioner (9).
After a short test run, check the tension and retighten if
necessary.
If the voltage is OK, replace the housing cover and screw
it on again.
