3. Routine Inspection before Every Shift

To check engine oil:
Warning:
Dump platform can unintentionally fall down if not properly secured. Failure to
comply could result in serious or fatal injuries.
1. Pull out the dipstick from the round opening in the left rear side of the orange fender panel.
2. Wipe off the dipstick and then put it back, pushing it completely into the dipstick tube.
3. Pull the dipstick back out and check the oil level. The oil level must be between the min and
max marks.
4. If the oil level is below the min mark, follow the steps below.
Caution:
Adding too much oil may cause engine damage. Use SAE 5W-40 engine oil only.
See Fluids and lubricants section.
5. Remove the yellow engine oil cap.
Note:
If the level of engine oil is below the min mark, the tractor might require up to 2 L / 2
qt. of engine oil.
6. Add a small amount of SAE 5W-40 engine oil and check the engine oil level again. If it is
below the min mark, add another small amount of engine oil and then again check the engine oil
level. If after adding 2 L / 2 qt. of engine oil, the engine oil level is still below the min mark,
refer to
Troubleshooting chapter.
7. Reinstall the yellow engine oil cap.
8. Continue the routine inspection and go to the next routine procedure if no faults or non-
compliance is detected.
17. Checking level of coolant
This routine procedure verifies that the tractor has the appropriate amount of coolant.
Before checking the level of coolant, ensure the following:
1. The dump platform is secured with the safety support and the lock pin is installed.
2. The ignition key is not in the ignition and the engine has not been running in the last five
minutes.
