Should the lift present a defect, discontinue use,
secure it against unauthorised use and inform the
local HOFMANN dealer. See operation label on the
lift!
9. Maintenance and service
Before carrying out maintenance work on the lift, it
must be turned off and secured against unauthori-
sed use!
To ensure long and reliable service from your lift, it
must be serviced regularly.
The auto-lubrication system, see Fig. 10, has to be
topped up with lubricant depending on use.
The oil for the auto-lubricantion system is: Esso
Millcot K68 (SAE 220)
Lubricant is not supplied with the lift.
Check the oil level in the oil tanks approx. once a
month and top up if necessary. Never use molyb-
dic or graphite grease!
The lifting-arm pivots should be greased with multi-
purpose grease when required, but at least every 3
months. Lifts exposed to unfavourable conditions
must be lubricated twice as often. The carriages
and arms must be kept in good working order.
The pick-up pads must be kept clean and grease
free. The pad support screws should be greased.
They should not be completely removed. Replace
pick-up pads Fig. 11 when worn.
