Note:
Please note the following: once our product has been installed in your home, it becomes a part of your drinking water system.
This means that the widely accepted rules regarding hygiene apply to your use of our product too. In particular, it is assumed
that water will always be replaced within a maximum of 72 hours to eliminate the risk of it stagnating and any potential
consequences this may have.
In light of this, please note the following basic principles: If you...
■
are away for between several hours and two days, let the stagnant water drain off
■
are away for between two days and four weeks, shut the valve on your water meter or, if you live in an apartment, shut the
valve on your
fl
oor and open it again when you return. Leave the water to run for around
fi
ve minutes afterwards.
■
are away for more than four weeks shut the water valves in your home/on your
fl
oor, rinse the drinking water system out when
you return and then open the valve again afterwards
■
are away for more than six months, close the main isolating valve before you leave home, empty the pipes and disconnect the
feed line. When you return, open the main isolating valve again and rinse out the drinking water system.
In addition to these measures, you should also replace the water at regular intervals – at least once a month – and leave it to
run for several minutes.
