Storing Insulin units
Besides blood glucose values, you can also store insulin units
with your
smartLAB
®
genie meter. To do so, carry out the follow-
ing steps:
• Push the S-button until the meter powers on. It will carry out a
quick self-test (all symbols and digits are shortly visible on the
display) and then enter the start up mode. Shortly press the
scroll wheel and quickly release it, to enter the insulin input
mode. In the upper display row, date and time are now visible;
in the middle of the display you should see „00“ and in the
bottom row „UNIT“.
• Turn the scroll wheel up or down to select the amount of insu-
lin units you want to enter.
• Press the scroll wheel to confirm your selection.
You can exit the insulin input mode by either pushing the S-
button or turning the scroll wheel to scroll through the stored
insulin units.
