Cam Sensor: 

Depend on the printer’s status; the positions of the TPH   
and the pinch roller stay different. The Cam controls   
the movement of the TPH and Pinch Roller between   
hese positions, and 

Cam sensor

 detects & sends   

information back to firmware. The difference of printing   
positions is as shown below: 
 
 
 

   

 

 

 

Ribbon Encode Sensor: 

There are 2 Ribbon Encode Sensors, one for Supply and one for Take. They are in charge of detecting 
and controlling the speed and length of ribbon movement.
