1. ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE START-
UP
The PDP TV sets run through a series of adjustments during
the assembly process.
Also, after servicing, these same adjustments must be done.
The adjustments are all made through the Service Mode
Menu.
NOTE: - S/W Check and upgrade -
The software version of the TV set can be checked through
the user OSD by following the next menu path:
[MENU] -> Setup -> Reset the Software>
The next picture shows the OSD where the version is
shown.
Till this day the latest software versions are:

The software upgrade is done by inserting an SD/MMC card
with the software
fi les thru the side panel slot. After inserting
the card press the “Upgrade Now” OSD button in the above
shown OSD screen and wait for the upgrade process to
fi nish. After, press the side panel power button off, remove
the SD/MMC card, and press the power button on.
NOTE : Any power interruption during the upgrade process
will cancel the upgrade. When this happens, repeat the
upgrade process.
1.1 How to get to the Service Mode Menu
The Service Mode Menu can be reached by following the
next sequence:
1. Turn the PDP TV set to power-On and with the remote
control push MENU -> MENU -> 8 -> SELECT.
2. To exit the Service Mode press [EXIT] key of the remote
control or the PDP side control panel.
The next picture shows the Service Mode OSD for the PDP
TV set.
In the fi rst line of the Adjustment mode OSD, the model num-
ber and the board information number are shown.

1.2 Changing data and selecting adjustment

When the PDP TV is in the Service Mode, use the remote
control cursor keys
◄ , ► , ▲ , ▼ to make the adjustments.
The side control panel in the PDP TV set can also be used
for making the adjustments.
A. Use the Remote Control:
The ▲ , ▼ , keys are used for scrolling thru the adjustment
item (in the same page).
The Select key is used for entering to the adjustment item
sub-menu.
The
◄ , ► keys are used for changing the data values.
Use the MENU remote control button to scroll thru the
diferent service mode pages.
The “OK” button is equal to “Enter” key.
The next picture shows part of the R/C indicating the buttons
mentioned in the previous explanation.
