WPA Configuration
• Pass Phrase
If you use WPA with PSK (Pre-Shared Key), the same pass
phrase is entered on all devices involved. This pass phrase
is subsequently used for the generation of the keys. It may
have a length between 8 and 63 bytes and may contain
ASCII characters with values between 31 and 127.
Note: For security reasons, a pass phrase with a minimum
length of 20 characters should be selected.
802.1x Configuration
If you use a RADIUS server for authentication, you can config-
ure the BAT 11b-AC as the corresponding client.
• Authentication Method
The BAT 11b-AC supports the EAP-MD5 protocol. If you want
to activate 802.1x authentication, select this protocol from
the drop-down menu.
• Username
Enter the user name which has been specified for the client
on the Radius server.
• Password
Enter the password which has been specified for the client
on the Radius server.
Note: Please note that ALL subscribers of the same wireless
network have to use the same keys.
• If you want to take over the settings made, confirm this by
clicking Save. Otherwise, you can discard the changes by
clicking Cancel. To take over the changes and activate
them, the BAT 11b Wireless Ethernet has to be rebooted.
