For more information about the self-calibration function, see p.92.
To maintain measurement precision, the instrument self-calibrates to compensate for inter-
nal circuit offset voltage and gain drift.
You can select between two self-calibration function execution methods.
Self-Calibration Timing and Interval
*When using the auto setting
When using the auto setting, self-calibration is performed for 5 ms once every second dur-
ing TRIG standby operation. In the event the TRIG signal is received during a 5 ms self-cal-
ibration, the self-calibration is canceled, and measurement will start after 0.5 ms. If you are
concerned about variation in measurement times, please use the manual setting.

A self-configuration that lasts about 5 ms is per-
formed between measurements.
Self-calibration is performed at the user's desired tim-
ing using the EXT I/O CAL signal input or a communi-
cations command (
:SYSTem:CALibration
). Using
this setting prevents self-calibration from being per-
formed automatically at unexpected times.
