12.3 Disposing of the HiLogger

The HiLogger contains a lithium battery for memory backup. When disposing of
this HiLogger, remove the lithium battery and dispose of battery and HiLogger in
accordance with local regulations.
12.3 Disposing of the HiLogger
Removing the Lithium Battery
To avoid electric shock, turn off the power switch and disconnect the
power cord and measurement cables before removing the lithium battery.

Verify that the power is off, and
remove the measurement
cables and power cord.

Turn the HiLogger over and
remove the five screws affixing
the lower case.

Remove the two screws in the
battery compartment cover.

Remove the screw in the bat-
tery compartment, and remove
the bottom of the case.

Remove the two screws in the
circuit board, and remove the
board.

Remove the battery pack.

Turn the board over, and insert
the tweezers between the bat-
tery holder and battery while
lifting the battery to remove it.
Required tools: One Phillips screwdriver (No.1), tweezers
