Communications Command Reference

Setting the LAN default gateway

Syntax

Command

:SYSTem:COMMunicate:LAN:GATeway <Number

1>,<Number 2>,<Number 3>,<Number 4>

•

Number 1,Number 2,Number 3,Number 4 {0 to 255}

Sets the IP address of the default gateway using 4 numbers.

Description

Sets the LAN default gateway.

The setting is enabled after

:SYSTem:COMMunicate:LAN:UPDate

is executed. The

gateway is disabled if it is set to 0.0.0.0. When connecting the instrument to an existing

network, set the IP address via RS-232C or USB in advance.

Setting a wrong gateway can cause a problem in the existing network.

Example

The IP address of the default gateway is set to 192.168.0.200.

NOTICE

The commands are delimited by commas.

gateway is returned if the command for setting the default gateway is not sent.
