Communications Command Reference

Setting the LAN subnet mask

Syntax

Command

:SYSTem:COMMunicate:LAN:SMASk <Number 1>,<Number

2>,<Number 3>,<Number 4>

Number 1,Number 2,Number 3,Number 4 {0 to 255}

Sets the subnet mask using 4 numbers.

Description

Sets the subnet mask of LAN. The setting is enabled after

:SYSTem:COMMunicate:LAN:UPDate

is executed. When connecting the instrument to

an existing network, set the IP address via RS-232C or USB in advance.

Setting a wrong subnet mask can cause a problem in the existing network.

Example

:SYSTem:COMMunicate:LAN:SMASk 255,255,255,0

Sets the subnet mask to “255.255.255.0”.

NOTICE

The commands are delimited by commas.
