Communications Command Reference
Setting the over-range value response type
Syntax
Command
:MEASure:FORMat:OVER {TYPE1|TYPE2}
Description
Sets the response type when a resistance value that exceeded the resistance range is
acquired using a command.
TYPE1
Returns
␣
9999E+07
as the over-range value, regardless of the range.
TYPE2
Returns the maximum value that can be measured with the current range. Since
the returned value cannot be distinguished from a normally measured value,
acquire the measurement status at the same time and check whether the range
was exceeded.
See over-range value format of the
:MEASure?
command.
Example
:MEASure:FORMat:OVER TYPE2
Set the response type to TYPE 2 setting for the over-range values.
Querying the over-range value response type
Syntax
Query
:MEASure:FORMat:OVER?
Response
(5 bytes +
CRLF)
{TYPE1|TYPE2}
Description
Queries the response type when a resistance value that exceeded the resistance range is
acquired using a command.
Example
:MEASure:FORMat:OVER?
TYPE1
Over-range values will be returned with the TYPE1 setting.
Measured value output
Querying the measured value
Syntax
Query
:MEASure?
Response
(0 to 60 bytes +
CRLF)
<Measured value>
Description
Queries the latest measured value.
After the test is completed, the last measured value is returned.
The response description is specified by
:MEASure:VALid
In the default setting, only the resistance value is returned.
(See the figure below.)
Example
:MEASure?
123.4E+06
The resistance value is 123.4 M
Ω
.
Voltage value [V] (11 bytes)
Reference value
The decimal place is fixed.
Judgment result (6 bytes)
Resistance value [Ω]
(9 bytes)
Measurement status
(2 bytes)
Judgment not possible
(
upper or lower limit value is out of range)
No judgment
Within the judgment reference range
Current value [A] (11 bytes)
Reference value
The decimal place is fixed.
Terminator (2 bytes)
Contact check result (4 bytes)
Not checked (contact check OFF)
Contact check judgment PASS
Contact check judgment FAIL
Number of BDD count (2 bytes)
Resistance value exceeds the resistance range
Time stamp [ms] (6 bytes)
Measurement status and resistance value
(refer to the following table
)
Upper limit value < Resistance value
Lower limit value > Resistance value
• If the set upper and lower limit values are more than the display range’s upper limit value,
and the measured value is
[Over.F]
(overflow)
• If the set upper and lower limit values are less than the display range’s lower limit value,
and the measured value is
[Under.F]
(underflow)
•
When the BDD count is at least 1 while the comparator function and BDD judgment are enabled
