Communications Method

Message terminator

The instrument accepts the following message terminators.

RS-232C

CR, LF, CR+LF

USB

CR, LF, CR+LF

LAN

CR, LF, CR+LF

Note that the terminator for response messages is fixed as CR+LF.

Separator

(1) Command program separator

The compound messages can be written in one line by connecting them via semicolons (

;

)

Example:

:VOLTage 100;*OPC?

Semicolon

If one command contains an error when messages are written in sequence, all subsequent

messages up to the next terminator will be ignored.

(2) Header separator

In a message consisting of a header and data, the header is separated from the data using a space
(blank).

Example:

(3) Data separator

In a message containing multiple data items, a comma (

) is required to separate the data items

from one another.

Example:
