Cleaning
Key input is not pos-
sible.
Is the key lock set?
Cancel the key lock.
Is the unit being remotely operated from an
external device using GP-IB?
Switch GP-IB to local
Is the unit being remotely operated from an
external device using RS-232C?
Switch RS-232C to local.
"i-ovEr Error" ap-
pears in the MAIN
display area.
Were large capacitance components and
other low-impedance components mea-
sured at range 7,8 for a prolonged period?
Open the measurement terminal and
press .
"CV-Lo" appears in
the MAIN display
area.
Are all the measurement terminals open?
Connect the probe or fixture to the unit.
Is there a high contact resistance between
the measurement terminal and sample?
Gently wipe the measurement termi-
nals with a cloth.
Is the cable of the probe or fixture discon-
nected?
Submit the fixture for repair. Replace
the probe with a new one. (The probe
cannot be repaired.)
The measurement
values are abnormal
when measuring
known samples
such as standard
capacitors.
Are the measurement conditions of known
samples same as the measurement condi-
tions of this main unit?
Set the measurement conditions appro-
priately.
See
3.3 "Setting the Measurement Condi-
Are the OPEN and SHORT compensations
appropriate?
Re-perform the OPEN and SHORT
compensation.
See
4.1 "Open Circuit Compensation and
Short Circuit Compensation" (p. 37)
Is LOAD compensation enabled?
Turn LOAD compensation off.
See
4.2 "Load Compensation" (p. 47)
Does a wait time, which is from connecting
the sample to starting measurement, fall
short?
Set an appropriate trigger delay or wait
time for trigger synchronous output
function.
See
6.2 "Trigger Delay Setting" (p. 93)
6.5 "Trigger Synchronous Output
"Setting and Query of Wait Time for
Trigger Synchronous Output Function"
Do not know what the cause is.
Try resetting the system.

Solution
To clean the unit, wipe it gently with a soft cloth moistened with water or mild
detergent. Never use solvents such as benzene, alcohol, acetone, ether,
