Chapter 2 Measurement Preparations

The earphone outputs a detected noise signal that
is converted into an envelope component of the
audible range.
It can be used as an aid, for example, in identifying
the type of noise signal.

2.8 Connecting the Earphone

To avoid damage to the instrument, do not apply

current or voltage to Earphone terminal.

Plug the earphone into the
earphone terminal.
Insert the plug securely as far
as it will go.

Adjust the sound volume by
turning the VOLUME control
knob.
