Chapter 2 Measurement Preparations
Due to the principles of measurement, the detect-
ing sensitivity of the 9741 varies with the diameter
of the cable to be measured, cable position inside
the clamp, permittivity of the cable covering, and
other factors. See the typical characteristics data
for the relationship between the diameter of cable
being measured and the sensitivity, and between
the cable position inside the clamp and the sensi-
tivity (page 101). Especially when data must be
recorded for an extended period of time, fix the
position of the cable being measured inside the
clamp.
