Chapter 2 Measurement Preparations

Make sure that the POWER
switch of the 3144-20 is OFF
and disconnect all cables.

Turn over the 3144-20, then
loosen the setscrew to detach
the battery cover.

Install six LR6 alkaline batter-
ies in the battery compart-
ment, and confirm the correct
polarity.
(Replace all batteries at the
same time.)

Put the battery cover back in
place, then tighten the screw.
