4.1.1 TRACKS WIDENING
In order to improve machine lateral stability it’s possible to widen the tracks,
on the otherwise in order to pass through a narrow passage it’s possible to
completely narrow the tracks, in this condition and with the basket unloaded
from its support the machine wide is less than 75 cm.
To widen or to narrow the tracks machine need to be closed and aligned, it
could be done with machine setup on the outriggers or not.
4.1.2 TRACKS MOVEMENT SPEED SELECTION
Remote control button 5 allows to select the speed required, depending on the
speed selected and on the movement required the machine automatically
changes the engine rpm.
The currently selected speed is indicated by the display icon in position n.4.
Only if machine is equipped with “second speed”, that is an optional, it will be
possible to select the faster speed (HARE).

When there’s no movement in progress (none of the joysticks acted) engin e
keeps minimum rpm.
On the machine equipped with “second speed”, thanks to AUTO2SPEED
system, in case of the torque required to the tracks sensibly increases (for
instance driving on a slope), the machine will automatically decrease the
tracks speed from HARE to NORMAL.
Auxiliary electric motor runs always at minimum rpm (1500 rpm).
NOTE: Lithium machines have a different rpm setting, for more details check
lithium chapter 11.3,
with lithium system when there’s no movement in
progress (none of the joysticks acted) electric motor is not running in order to
save batteries energy.
