PROFINET IO specification
V2.2 (legacy startup) and V2.3 (but advanced startup only for RT) are
supported.
Limitations
RT over UDP not supported.
Multicast communication not supported.
DHCP is not supported.
FastStartUp is not supported.
The amount of configured IO-data influences the minimum cycle time that
can be reached.
Only 1 Input-CR and 1 Output-CR are supported.
Using little endian (LSB-MSB) byte order for cyclic process data instead of
default big endian (MSB-LSB) byte order may have a negative impact on
minimum reachable cycle time.
System Redundancy (SR-AR) and Configuration-in-Run (CiR) are not
supported.
Max. 255 submodules can be used simultaneously within one specific
Application Relation.
Advanced Startup according Profinet specification V2.3 is NOT yet supported
for IRT.
As there is no official certification available for Profinet IO specification V2.3
at the time of release of the stack there is no guarantee that this
implementation will pass such a certification once it is available.
