6. Disconnect the adaptator from the control unit.
7. Place the seat cushion on the patient's chair and secure using the strap
provided (D).
8. Patients can now sit on the cushion, which makes a whistling sound. The
cushion is optimally inflated when the whistling stops.
9. Connect the cushion hose to the non-return
valve (E) of the seat cushion.
10. Fold the flap over the hose
(A) and close
.
Deflating and Packing the Seat Cushion
1. Open the closure located adjacent to the protection of the hose.
2. Locate the blue deflation valve and loosen the
plug (G) by turning through a ½ turn
counterclockwise.
3. Starting on the side opposite the valve, fold the
cushion in order to expel the air.
4. Close the plug and fold the flap over the hose.
5. Store the seat cushion.
6. The device must be stored in its original packaging:
•
Protected against light and damp;
•
At least 10 cm above floor level to prevent fluid ingress;
•
Protected against dust;
•
Outside passageways.
Cleaning and Disinfecting the Seat Cushion
When cleaning, always check the seat cushion cover for cuts, tears, cracks
or snags.
Hill-Rom recommends that damaged covers should be scrapped.
