11. Remove the two screws (A) from the deck mounting plate (B) (see figure 

4-2 on page 4-9).

12. Remove the two screws (D) securing the head siderail (C) to the bed.

13. Remove the head siderail (C).

Replacement

1. Ensure that the replacement head siderail is the same type as the one 

removed.

2. Perform the removal procedure in reverse order.

3. To ensure proper operation of the TotalCare® Bariatric Bed, perform the 

“Function Checks” in the 

TotalCare® Bed System Service Manual 

(man112)
