4.19 Motor Assembly

18. Carefully remove the front panel weldment (M) from the CarePorter™
Cart (F).
NOTE:
Be careful not to scratch the front panel weldment (M) when removing it from
the CarePorter™ Cart (F).
WARNING:
Use the wood support block to support the ventilator shelf. The
ventilator shelf will fall during this procedure if not supported. Failure to
support the shelf could result in personal injury or equipment damage.
19. Position the wood support block underneath the ventilator shelf assembly
(S).
20. Using the phillips head screwdriver, remove the four screws (AB) that
secure the shelf cover (AC) to the shelf carriage weldment (U).
21. Using the phillips head screwdriver, remove the four screws (AD) that
secure the PC board cover (T) to the shelf carriage weldment (U).
22. Remove the PC board cover (T) from the CarePorter™ Cart (F).
23. Locate and disconnect the motor assembly power cable (V) from the PC
board (W).
WARNING:
Do not let the motor assembly drop during this procedure. Doing so
could result in personal injury or equipment damage.
24. Using the ratchet and 5/32" hex bit, remove the four screws (X) that secure
the motor assembly (Y) to the shelf carriage weldment (U).
25. Remove the motor assembly (Y) from the CarePorter™ Cart (F).
Replacement
1. Install the new spur gear, set screw, and woodruff key onto the new motor
assembly.
