11.4 Serial Port Protocol

Before you start

Connect the device and the ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) via the serial port properly.

Purpose

The transaction information, including transaction card No, transaction amount, transaction
behaviour, etc., will be sent from the ATM to the device.

Step 1

Enter the ATM Settings interface.

Menu > Configuration > ATM

Select the ATM from the drop-down list.

Step 3

Check the checkbox of

Enable ATM

Step 4

Select

Serial Port Protocol

from the drop-down list as the input mode.

Step 5

Configure the serial port protocol settings.

Click

Setting

to enter the Serial Port Protocol Settings interface.

Set the baud rate, data bit, stop bit, parity, flow ctrl and usage for the serial port
communication.

Click

to save the settings and exit.

The serial port parameters you set on the device should be corresponding with that of the
connected ATM and the serial port usage should be set as Transparent Channel.
