OPTION 2: By Operating the Front Panel

Press and hold the POWER button on the front panel for 3 seconds.

Enter administrator’s username and password in the dialog box for authentication.

Yes
button.
NOTE:
Do not press POWER button again while system is shutting down.

Rebooting the NVR

Enter the
Shutdown
menu by clicking Menu > Maintenance > Shutdown.
2.
Click the
Logout
button to lock the NVR
or
the
Reboot
button to reboot the NVR.
3.2
Activating Your Device
For first-time access, you need to activate the device by setting an admin password. No operation is allowed before
activation. You can activate the device via Web Browser, SADP, or Client Software.

Input the same password in the
Create New Password
and
Confirm New Password
text fields.

Strong Password Recommended
We highly recommend you create a strong password of your own choosing (using a
minimum of eight characters, including at least three of the following categories:
upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, and special characters.) in order to
increase the security of your product. We also recommend you reset your password
regularly. Especially in a high security system, resetting the password monthly or
weekly can better protect your product.
