6.7 Smart Encoding
6.7.1 Channel-Zero Encoding
Channel-zero encoding refers to local output encoding for network transmission. In order to
decrease the bandwidth requirement without affecting the image quality, channel-zero encoding
provides a combined live image of multiple channels. Users can view the videos from channel-zero
remotely. Division capacity is depended on output videos and bandwidth on upper bitrate limit.
Go to Configuration → Smart Encoding → Channel-Zero to enable the function and configure
parameters.

Enhanced SVC Mode
Enhanced SVC mode extracts video frames to provide better decoding capacity.
Frame Rate
It refers to the number of frames captured each second. A higher frame rate is advantageous
when there is movement in the video stream, as it maintains image quality throughout.
