Every record consists of two lines:

line records the record type, point name, target height,

code

e.g. STA = station point

SS = BBS (back-sight point)

SC = coordinate data

SD = distance measured

SA = angle measured

line records the data type and the data record

e.g. NEZ = the following figures are coordinates

ENZ = the following figures are coordinates

HVD = the following figures are horizontal angle, vertical

angle and slope correspondingly

HV = the following figures are horizontal angle and

vertical angle correspondingly
