How to replace the HEPA filter and the carbon filter in the filter cartridge for
IDEAL AP 15/30/45 models.
Replacement of the HEPA filter
Follow the instructions in the user guide supplied with the air purifier. How to remove the
filter cartridge from the unit.
1. Vacuum the pre-filter before removing it to reduce the excess dust.
Now remove the pre-filter grid gently which is held in place by 8 small tabs all round
filter cartridge wall by bending the sides out slightly and lift out by the black finger tabs
on each side. We recommend starting from the long side.
2. Vacuum, and if necessary, wash the pre-filter. After washing dry the filter thoroughly
before reinstalling it.
3. Now remove the old HEPA filters by pulling the tapes carefully to avoid making dust
and place them into a suitable plastic bag.
4. Insert a new HEPA filters.
5. Refit the pre-filter, making sure that the tape from the HEPA filter is behind the
pre-filter.
Replacing the carbon filter
1. Turn the filter cartridge over on to the pre-filter.
2. The carbon filter is held in by 4 tabs, two on each side. Bend the two finger tabs out
slightly, then lift the carbon filter gently by the tap on the filter itself.
3. Remove the carbon filter.
4. Insert a new carbon filter.
5. Now refit the filter cartridge in the device and reset the filter change indicator.
Follow the user guide attached to the device.
Disposal of filters
The used filter set can be disposed of, together with household waste.
However, you should read the local regulations regarding segregation of waste.
Correct segregation and selective waste collection reduces the negative impact on the
natural environment.
