PC4200 model agitator with platelet bags. Label holders are installed on the drawers.
The platelet bag capacity for the built-in agitator is 396 random bags or 132 apheresis bags.
To load platelet bags
!
CAUTION:
When opening drawers:
►
Do not pull out more than one drawer at a time. Having more than one drawer
open at a time may cause the agitator to roll forward and cause injury.
►
Do not use the label holder to pull out the drawer. The holder may break
away from the handle after repeated use. Grasp the drawer handle instead.
1
Open the drawer that you want to load. Grasp the center of the drawer handle and pull out the drawer,
lifting lightly as you pull. If a drawer is difficult to open, gently push it closed and try again, making
sure that you are pulling the drawer straight out.
2
Lay the platelet bags flat on the drawer, according to the following guidelines, as well as any other
guidelines for your organization:
►
Avoid stacking bags. Stacked bags may slide off the drawer during agitation.
►
Maintain enough space around each bag for adequate air circulation. For thicker bags, you can
remove drawers to provide extra space.
►
Place the tubing neatly under or around the bag so that it does not obstruct movement of the
agitator drawers or storage frame.
6.7.2
Identifying the contents of the agitator drawers
You can identify the contents of each drawer using the label holders that are supplied with the incubator.
Create your own magnetic or adhesive labels and apply them to the label holders. Label holders, as well as
the hardware and tool to install them, are shipped from the factory in the accessories box. Contact Helmer
or your local distributor to order additional holders.
Each drawer has three sets of slots so you can install the holder on the left side, the right side, or the center.

You can also identify drawer contents by replacing the standard drawer with one of a different color.
Contact Helmer or your local distributor for more information about drawer availability. For instructions to
replace a drawer, see Section 7.4.1, “Maintaining drawers.”
