7.4 Autozero
Zeroing and taring is usually done from the Home menu. The Autozero function is helpful
if your scale is subject to continuous soiling or the scale operates at widely differing
temperatures, for example in truck scales: Zeroing within the selected range is performed
when standstill has been detected after switching on the device or after a measurement.
The zero value obtained is written to a separate zero memory (not to the parameter set).

Mode: Define here whether the zero value is to be measured over a period of time
(Time) or over a specific number of measured values (Counter).

Lockout time: This is the time to wait before measuring after standstill is detected.

Band span: The band span is the range in which zeroing is performed. If the measured
value is outside this range, no zeroing takes place.

Counter/Time: Enter either the time over which the zeroing is to take place or the
number of measured values. The sample rate is 2kHz.
7.5 Filter
In this menu you will find some useful tools to help you analyze your measurement data
and configure the available filters to give you the best possible output signal.
The filters are based on many years of experience in weighing technology, and have been
optimized by HBM for these applications.
The window is divided into three areas: On the left are the filter settings; at the top right
the "oscilloscope", providing a graphical depiction of the raw and filter values; and below
the respective values of the two position markers.
If you are using the function for the first time, it is best to proceed as follows.
Measuring
Click on START RECORDING to start a new measurement. This will overwrite any values
from previous measurements. Click on STOP RECORDING to stop measuring. Otherwise
the measurement will end automatically after 10 seconds at the latest.
You do not yet see the values currently being measured while measurement is in
progress. The raw measurement data is displayed in full graphically only after the
measurement is stopped. Only values measured after connecting to the device are
displayed, as the values are not stored in the DSE.
