In the area at the bottom you can view the device log, and download new firmware to the
device. You can download the required file free of charge from the product website at

https://www.hbm.com/DSE

. The firmware file extension is hbg.

The device log may also be necessary for support purposes if functions do not run as
expected. You will not normally need the data.

Procedure for updating the firmware

Click on CHOOSE FIRMWARE and specify the downloaded file.

u

Then click on UPDATE FIRMWARE (at the bottom).

After updating, the system restarts. The connection is cut while this is happening, but is
automatically re-established once the update has completed successfully. The update
takes about 30 seconds in total. During this time, the LEDs on the device flash alternately.

7.3

Amplifier

Use this menu item to define some general settings for measuring, and to calibrate the
measurement chain.

You have two options for calibrating the DSE: Automatic or Manual.
