1.

Connect battery chargers that are used in the

open via a ground fault circuit breaker.

2.

Keep the battery charger away from rain or

       moisture.

Penetration of water in the battery charger

increases the risk of an electric shock.

3.

Do not charge other batteries.

The battery charger

is suitable only for charging HAUSSMANN Ni-Cd batteries

within the listed voltage range. Otherwise there is danger

       of fire and explosion.

4.

Only charge the battery at an ambient temperature

       between 0

0

C (32

0

F) and 45

0

C (113

0

F).

A long battery

service life is achieved in this manner.

5.

Keep the battery charger clean.

Contamination can

lead to danger of an electric shock.

6.

Before each use, check the battery charger, cable

and plug. If damage is detected, do not use the

battery. Never open the battery charger yourself.

Have repairs performed only by a qualified

technician and only using original spare parts.

Damaged battery chargers, cables and plugs increase

the risk of an electric shock.

7.

Do not operate the battery charger on easily

flammable surfaces(for example, paper, textiles,  etc.)

      or surroundings.

The heating of the battery charger

during the charging process can pose a fire hazard.

The battery is partial charged when purchased and must

be charged fully before operation. New batteries, or a

battery that has been stored for some time, may not

initially accept a full charge. This is normal. It will charge

fully after several charge and discharge cycles. The first

charge of a battery pack will take up to 1hour. Subsequent

full charges will also take up to 1 hour. The batteries

should be charged at an ambient air temperature of

between 0

0

C (32

0

F) and 45

0

C (113

0

F).

To charge a 14.4V/18V NiCd battery pack,proceed

as follows:

1. Connect the charger to the mains supply and switch on.

The green light will turn on. The red light is off.

2. When the battery pack is inserted into the charger, the

red light will flash(frequency=1Hz). The green light

    remains on.

3. When the battery is fully charged, both the green and

red lights will remain fully lit.

4. In the event of a charging failure, the red light will

    flash(frequency>2Hz).The green light remains on.

When the battery is fully charged, please remove the

battery pack from the battery charger. Do not leave the

battery in the charger when the charger is plugged in.
