Operator’s Manual

8.2.14 Changing the oil filter

Safety note

CAUTION

Danger of burns.

When working on the engine there is a danger of burns from hot
oil.

▪

Wear personal protective equipment (gloves).

▪

Collect the used oil and dispose of it according to local envi-
ronmental regulations.

Overview

Oil filter

Strap wrench

Gasket

Procedure

Step

Activity

Release the oil filter (1) with a strap wrench (2) and quickly un-
screw it or pull it out.

▪ HATZ order no. for strap wrench: 620 307 01.

Dispose of the old filter in accordance with local environmental
regulations.

Wipe spilled engine oil out of the oil baffle.

Lightly oil the gasket (3) of the new oil filter.

Screw in the oil filter and tighten it by hand.
