Notes: The console model number (NetWave-8, -16, or -24) indicates the number of fader input slots
available in the chassis. One Monitor & Output card, one DSP card, and one Monitor Control panel
(three input slots wide) are standard on all frame sizes. The NetWave-8 console adds four Dual
Fader panels, standard. The NetWave-16 console adds a second DSP card, six Dual Fader panels,
and two Dual Blank panels, standard. The NetWave-24 console adds two more DSP cards, nine Dual
Fader panels, and three Dual Blank panels, standard.
Here is a list of user-installed NetWave console options:

Each slot, or control panel frame position, is 1.6" wide. The Monitor Control panel is three slots wide. All
other panels are two slots wide. There are 16 input slots on a NetWave-16 console, so you can install up to
eight of any combination of these panel types:
●
Dual Fader
●
Dual Selector
●
Dual Router
●
Dual Blank
The NetWave-16 console, as shipped from the factory, includes six Dual Fader panels installed in slots 1-12
and two Dual Blank panels installed in slots 13-16. You can install additional Dual Fader panels (PRE99-
1423) into slots 13-16 at the time of initial installation or any time afterwards. If purchased with the console,
they are separately boxed and are installed in place of the Dual Blank panels. You can also install additional
Dual Fader panels into the NetWave-24 console, which ships with nine Dual Faders in slots 1-18 and three
Dual Blank panels in slots 19-24.
Dual Faders & DSP Cards
Four Dual Fader, Dual Router, or Dual Selector panels connect to each DSP card (Figure 2-20). Each panel
connects to a specific RJ-45 jack labeled by its channel assignments, such as Fader Panel 7 & 8, identifying
the two channels that are serviced, with 48-volt DC power and control signals, by each jack. Each RJ-45 jack
has a one-foot red, flat cable plugged into it. A NetWave-8 frame has four cables, a NetWave-16 has eight
cables, and a NetWave-24 frame has 12 cables. On blank panels, these cables are tie-wrapped below the
blank panels.

The optional Dual Router and Dual Selector kits add a second cable (blue flat) that connects the Dual Router
kit’s Processor card to the VistaMax LAN or the Dual Selector’s Interface card to a 16x2 MicroRouter. Thus,
there are two RJ-45 jacks located on the chassis below each panel’s rear mounting bracket. A color-coded
